So far, the Muffler Man at Around the World Golf is the only one I’ve seen with eyelashes painted on! He is rumored to be the Bunyan from the 1964-65 World’s Fair in Queens.

My family used to go to this drive in when I was a kid. The last movie that I remember seeing there was The Empire Strikes Back. I find it sad to see a piece of my childhood surrendering to the weeds. Though there is barely even any of the red, yellow and blue pant left – the sign still blazes in all it’s neon glory in my memory.
