My dad and I were the original owners of this Indian. We put it in front of our tire store on the Garces traffic circle when we were selling Mohawk brand tires at the time in the mid 1960's. After I sold the shop it ended up as a mascot for a local grade school whose name was the Braves. Then it layed in someone's backyard for many years until it was recovered and restored and placed in front of the cafe. It was mounted on a trailor so it could be moved, and we payed around $800 for it at the time. I heard thousands were spent restoring it.
