Photos Taken: January 2010
The other day I got an email from my dear friend, Bill. It was something to the effect of “Do you have a pic of the giant hot dog on 112?” My eyes snapped open with excitement. “Giant hot dog? What giant hot dog?” In disbelief that I wasn’t hip to the jumbo frank, he went on to give me the address. I excitedly zipped out later that evening to have a look-see for myself.
In the town of Medford is First National Franks. On their roof is perched a big beautiful hot dog! “Cold Drinks, Cool People” says their window. With the awesomely great wiener, they aren’t kiddin’!
We have not stopped in to sample their dogs but will have to soon.
I’m so glad that when my friends spy something like a 6 foot hot dog, that they immediately think of me

Had the dogs and they are excellent. Almost as big as the one on the roof!! The chili dog was huge, a meal in itself, the fries were great too, but I loved the pickle chips deep fried…awesome

Best hot dog around! They will make anything for you and also deep fry anything for you. Its a great atmosphere and amazing people. Very friendly service and very well organized. You are served with 5 minutes of getting you order (at least in my experience).
Best meal:
“Gasm” Dog
Hot Dog wrapped in bacon
cole slaw
Russian dressing
mozzarella
with a side of those yukon gold french fries that once you eat them you cant stop
and for dessert I prefer snickers but Ring dings are great deep fried.
This place is sure to become a classic

I don’t know about anyone else, but I grew up in Detroit with Coney dogs. They’re definitely the best in my opinion!
